According to The International Energy Agency (IEA), renewable energy: hydro power, solar power, and wind power, must dominate the electricity generation sector in a sustainable energy future, in order to achieve a clean, clever, and competitive energy future. Hydro, solar, and wind power have been recognized as a mainstream energy technology, and a key component in combating climate change.
Reports show that wind power, energy efficiency, and fuel-switching will play the major role in reducing emissions in the power sector in the next 10-20 years. Global emissions must peak and then start to decline to avoid the negative aspects of climate change.
