David E. Springer

Mr. David Springer is a Washington, D.C. businessman and lawyer with two decades involvement in the South Asian market. A retired partner at a large Washington, D.C. based law firm, Mr. Springer was the first lawyer hired by the Government of India to represent the country before the United States Congress and the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government. For many years, he represented some of India’s largest corporations and trade associations on matters in the U.S. and advised U.S. corporations on their entry into the Indian market.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Springer spent more than a decade working as a senior professional staff member on Capitol Hill for members of the House and Senate Energy Committees, where he was actively involved with renewable energy and environmental legislation and worked closely with various national environmental organizations. Currently Mr. Springer is an advisor to a large Indian investment bank and a member of the investment committee of an Indian real estate fund.

He also is the founder of Translational Medicine Collaboration Group, LLC, which advises U.S. medical schools and teaching hospitals on ways in to co-develop new drug therapies with Indian pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Springer is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University and was awarded a J.D. from the Washington College of Law at American University.
